Did you know that little ones are 78 times less likely to bicker at the bottom of a gorge than in the midst of a fairground? That on the walk down into the gorge they might even hold hands and help one another over difficult rocks? That a four year old can walk more than 2 kilometres, including some impressive rock climbing, with little help? The same four year old who can't even walk from the car into the classroom without needing to be carried?!
No, we didn't either. But, as you can image, there are plans for lots more bush walking in our local area as well as trips to Kalbarri.
We loved our time away so much we've decided just to leave all the camping gear and unwashed clothing dotted around the house to remind us. I might have gotten more packed away but, heck, it was my anniversary of being born yesterday. Today, well, I decided too much work might undo all the birthday bliss.
Tomorrow...we'll see. It will depend greatly on how quickly I can get my iron stores built up. As you know, dear reader, I have a C- for taking iron tablets and tend to lurch from one episode of "Why am I so tired?!!" to the next. As usual, Killer diagnosed the cause and now I'm back on the ferro-wagon.
While I'm on the subject of Killer, he aced the birthday present test: some incredibly sweet and delicate china tea cups and some gritty, not-in-anyway-delicate tv shows on DVD for my birthday! Despite the fact that I had already bought, on his behalf, a ridiculously cute camera bag. 41 is off to a great start. Thanks for being here on the other side of the gorge.
